Scary Pumpkins!!

This was the first year that we carved pumpkins instead of painting or coloring them. Jason did all the carving & together he & Tom designed the large face with the pointy teeth, ooh!! Jake drew his own face, which was smaller, so Dad accidentally cut the gap between the nose & mouth but he still looks very scary!!!

Happy Halloween!

We had a great night for Trick or Treating, very mild and light! The boys got a little bit of a late start but still came home with plenty of goodies! They were adorable in their costumes. I bought too much candy for the first time, but at least I won't have to buy Tom suckers for months!

Yay Dad!!!

We're very excited today because my dad was just elected the new Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of Maine! Yippee!! The boys and I made this photo card since we can't be there in person to celebrate. Jake's mitre has a picture of Grampy taking care of a baby, a large L for love and a big heart on the back which you can't see. I tried folding mitre hats but newspaper wasn't big enough so we improvised. It was fun!

POWER RANGERS!!!!

The Power Rangers are HUGE at our house!! We have been getting videos from the library since we don't get the channels they are on in their current form. The boys are very interactive with the videos fighting the bad guys right alongside the rangers. Both would like to be the Red Ranger but Jake insists that's not possible. Often Tom is the Green one instead. I love his laugh in the first pic! For Halloween Tom is resurrecting the Zurg costume to be a monster for the Red Ranger Jacob to fight. They are insisting they need better weapons, but we'll see... They are too cute in these photos. I've had to hide the costumes or they'd wear them everyday& they would be destroyed by the time Trick or Treat rolls around!

Party Time!

Yes its true, Jason is 30! We have celebrated his birthday several times now, but on the actual day we had a small party at home with the 4 of us. The boys were very festive in their socks knitted by Grammy Gretchen, too cute! Tom prefers to go without pants, and would even leave the house that way if I let him. Unfortunately I do not. He loves his new socks and was bummed that he could not wear them the next day because they were in the laundry.
