Tree trimming

Well we got the big tree all trimmed, and then it decided to tip over!! Luckily no ornaments broke and only a few fell off. We've got it tied down now so it should stay up. It looks great all decorated. It was pretty homely before but the boys loved it at the lot so home it came and we made it gorgeous! Next year I'm voting for a cut your own place!!!

Cuku & the sled

All the boys enjoyed Grampy's old sled this morning. Even Cuku wanted to go for a ride. He had to settle for chasing after them instead. It was hysterical to watch the puppy try to figure the sled out. It was a fun time for all outside, except Jake & Tom did not like all the dog kisses!!

Tree time

We got our real tree last night but it needed to thaw before we could decorate it, so we put the fake tree up in the boys' bedroom with lights and they got to have it on for a bit after they got in bed. Hopefully we'll do ornaments for both trees this afternoon. Both guys are sacked out after playing outside for an hour this morning.

New bed!!!

Tom has been doing really well (for the most part) in his new twin bed. it has worked out MUCH better than the toddler bed. We also took the crib down so there has been no other option (besides brother's bed!) We have to let Jake go down later at nap or just have quiet time, and it takes a while int he evening but we're getting there. Next thing you know we'll be potty training! (I hope!) Tom loooves the bed and Aunt Dana's old comforter. The snowman pics are from when we had breakfast with Santa this past weekend.

fun indoors

Ohh I can't believe my mom didn't beat with me with a wet noodle when we were just home. I haven't posted in ages, plus I forgot my camera to take pics on our trip!!! Oh well. here are some I've been meaning to post. We have had very cold weather lately so lots of playing indoors. The boys have been great at making forts and hideaways. They also enjoyed a special treat when Dad took them out to get donuts a few Saturdays ago. They were enjoyed well!

Scary Pumpkins!!

This was the first year that we carved pumpkins instead of painting or coloring them. Jason did all the carving & together he & Tom designed the large face with the pointy teeth, ooh!! Jake drew his own face, which was smaller, so Dad accidentally cut the gap between the nose & mouth but he still looks very scary!!!

Happy Halloween!

We had a great night for Trick or Treating, very mild and light! The boys got a little bit of a late start but still came home with plenty of goodies! They were adorable in their costumes. I bought too much candy for the first time, but at least I won't have to buy Tom suckers for months!

Yay Dad!!!

We're very excited today because my dad was just elected the new Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of Maine! Yippee!! The boys and I made this photo card since we can't be there in person to celebrate. Jake's mitre has a picture of Grampy taking care of a baby, a large L for love and a big heart on the back which you can't see. I tried folding mitre hats but newspaper wasn't big enough so we improvised. It was fun!

POWER RANGERS!!!!

The Power Rangers are HUGE at our house!! We have been getting videos from the library since we don't get the channels they are on in their current form. The boys are very interactive with the videos fighting the bad guys right alongside the rangers. Both would like to be the Red Ranger but Jake insists that's not possible. Often Tom is the Green one instead. I love his laugh in the first pic! For Halloween Tom is resurrecting the Zurg costume to be a monster for the Red Ranger Jacob to fight. They are insisting they need better weapons, but we'll see... They are too cute in these photos. I've had to hide the costumes or they'd wear them everyday& they would be destroyed by the time Trick or Treat rolls around!

Party Time!

Yes its true, Jason is 30! We have celebrated his birthday several times now, but on the actual day we had a small party at home with the 4 of us. The boys were very festive in their socks knitted by Grammy Gretchen, too cute! Tom prefers to go without pants, and would even leave the house that way if I let him. Unfortunately I do not. He loves his new socks and was bummed that he could not wear them the next day because they were in the laundry.

School days!

Jake started pre-school in late August. He loves it! His class is in an old store front, hence the glass wall. Tom hates to leave him, but he gets to have fun too, we go to play group or stay home. I am very proud of the last picture, our new coat rack in the kitchen! I did the whole project from start to finish (conception, design, material selection, construction & installation) makes it look like a bigger job, hehehe! The boys needed a rack they could reach and the one in the living room was too crowded. Lets just hope they use it! PS. It really is level, I checked!
